Throughout her Family Medicine Practice and experience with Mayo Health System Owatonna and Rochester Mayo, she was drawn further into her desire for education at the University of Minnesota at the Center for Spirituality and Healing. There she obtained a Post Masters Integrative Health Coaching Certificate. At the University of Minnesota she embraced her call to practice integrated whole person care. She retired from her work at Mayo Clinic in 2023 and is now concentrating her work exclusively in Lifestyle and Functional Medicine.

Dawn is most interested in supporting patients’ goals in treating the underlying cause of illness and health concerns. She approaches patients’ needs by identifying needs in areas of lifestyle, nutrition, and environment. She uses age appropriate assessments and interventions, functional laboratory analysis and integration of personal self care that may include prescribing medications and supplements. This approach to whole systems analysis and evidence based care leads to positive therapeutic impacts on health and healing.

Dawn lives with her husband, Mike in Claremont Minnesota on 7 acres of beautiful land that provides gardens and her barn that provides a home for a variety of livestock she calls her “pets”. Dawn most enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking any national park and spending time with her precious family.
