Sara Persinger, a Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Sara Persinger is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who is passionate about helping patients transform their health through lifestyle change. Sara utilizes a holistic framework to offer patients whole health solutions that address root causes of disease. Sara’s approach to care is grounded in compassionate understanding and supportive behavioral coaching.

Sara completed her bachelors of science in nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. She was selected for the prestigious Summer III nursing externship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. As she was caring for patients at the bedside who were suffering from end-stage chronic diseases, most of which could be prevented through lifestyle change, she became determined to devote her time providing primary care services to help prevent patients from experiencing these tragic outcomes. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Winona State University followed by the Nurse Practitioner Residency Program in Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic. Sara is a passionate believer that health transformation happens one choice at a time.

Sara’s clinical areas of expertise include addiction medicine, smoking cessation, behavioral health coaching, and family practice. When she is not in clinic, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and five children. Sara enjoys volunteering with her church, tending her garden, taking walks in the outdoors, reading and needlework.
